Privacy policy

This policy explains what Remote Jobs Now collects and how it's used.

What we collect

• Email alerts: your email address, your state, how often you want emails, and any job preferences you choose. We also keep a record of when you signed up, confirmed and changed preferences, including a one-way hashed version of your IP address, as evidence of consent.
• Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed). Google sets cookies and receives information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies. Analytics is not loaded on newsletter confirmation, preference or unsubscribe pages.
• Advertising (Google AdSense): this site may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings. Ads are never loaded on newsletter confirmation, preference or unsubscribe pages.
• Accounts: if you create an account, we store your email address and, if you fill it in, a profile (target roles, work history, skills, education, quotes from people who know you). The profile is encrypted in our database, visible only to you, never shown to employers, never sold, and never sent to AI services by us — you copy the prompt into an AI tool yourself. If you use the application prompt without an account, the details you type are used only to build the prompt and are not stored on our server (unless you choose “remember in this browser”, which saves them only on your device). Account and prompt pages don't load analytics or ads.
• Testimonials: if someone asks you for a testimonial, we email you once on their behalf. If you write one, we store your name, how you know them and your words, shown only to the person who asked, who may include them in CVs they send. After you write (or decline), we keep only a one-way hash of your email address to prevent repeat requests. You can remove your testimonial, or opt out of all emails, with the link in that email.
• Contact form: if you send us a message, we store your name, email address, topic and message so we can reply, plus a one-way hashed version of your IP address to limit spam. Messages are deleted after 365 days and are never sent to AI services.
• Usage counts: we count how many times each job's Apply button is clicked, and how many people sign up per day. These are totals only and aren't linked to you.
• Server logs: our web server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Apart from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, we don't use advertising trackers or other third-party analytics, and we don't collect résumés or applications.

How we use it

We use your email address and preferences only to send the job alerts you asked for, and to let you manage or cancel them. We never send subscriber information to AI services.

Your choices

Every email has a link to change your preferences or unsubscribe, and you don't need an account. After you unsubscribe, we keep a one-way hashed record of your address so we don't email you again by mistake.

How long we keep it

• Accounts and profiles are kept until you delete your account; deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Subscriber details are kept while you're subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep only the hashed record described above, plus the consent history as proof of what you agreed to.
• Server and application logs are deleted after 14 days.
• Click and signup counts are totals and contain no personal information.
