Requirements

  • Experience underwriting Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL), Professional Liability (E&O), or closely related specialty commercial insurance products.
  • Strong understanding of professional liability exposures, coverage forms, policy terms, exclusions, pricing considerations, and risk selection.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate risks, exercise sound underwriting judgment, and make informed decisions while balancing growth and profitability.
  • Experience developing and managing broker relationships, with a commercial mindset and a track record of driving new business opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate underwriting decisions and collaborate effectively with brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable using technology, data, and analytics to improve underwriting decisions and operational efficiency.
  • Highly accountable and detail-oriented, with a willingness to take ownership of your book of business and the outcomes of your work.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in helping build and scale a growing insurance product within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
